Hello! I'm Patricia Zapata, the designer and owner of A Little Hut. I live in Texas with my very supportive husband and two amazing children.

I opened A Little Hut in 2004. I started out by selling stationery, printables and hand cut paper illustrations. It was always my dream to continue designing and not cutting as much by hand (I simply didn't have time to do it all!). That's when I discovered cutting machines!

My business immediately transformed, yet stayed the same. I still get to create new designs and put them together myself, but now I get to teach others how to do have fun with paper themselves. It's the best of all worlds.

The core elements of my designs have stayed the same. I work with graphic images as well as nature inspired themes and I apply them to the creation of paper illustrations, cutting files, fabric and gift wrap.

My work has been featured in many online publications such as Craft, Aparthement Therapy, Decor8, Poppytalk, Lifehacker, Bloesem and Design Sponge among others. I have also published tutorials on the Craft magazine and site and was a guest crafter on HGTV's That's Clever.

My book, Home, Paper, Scissors: Decorative Paper Accessories for the Home was published in 2009. It is a collection of more than 30 paper craft projects that use paper and recyclable materials. The book has been featured in Do It Yourself Magazine and in Martha Stewart radio.

In 2009 I was honored to be a guest crafter on Going Green with Yolanda Green a Houston TV show where I shared environmentally friendly projects. I was also named the 2013 Scotchbrand's Most Gifted Wrapper in a contest held in New York City.

Please visit my porfolio site for other examples of my work that I are available for licensing.
