Hello! I'm Patricia Zapata, the designer and owner of A Little Hut.  I work from home and on a typical day you can find me sitting in front of a computer or at my work table cutting and putting together a new proejct. I do this all in Texas where I live with my very supportive husband and two adorable children.

In 2004 I opened A Little Hut and I sold stationery and hand cut paper illustrations. It was always my dream to continue designing and not cutting as much by hand. That's when I discovered cutting machines!

My business immediately transformed but the core elements of my designs have stayed the same. I work with graphic images as well as nature inspired themes and I applie them to the creation of paper illustrations, cutting files and fabric.

My designs have been featured in many online publications such as CraftApartment TherapyOhdeedohRe-nestDecor8PoppytalkLifehackerBloesem and Design Sponge among others. I have also published tutorials on the Craft magazine and site and was a guest crafter on HGTV’s That’s Clever.
My book, Home, Paper, Scissors: Decorative Paper Accessories for the Home was published in 2009. It is a collection of more than 30 paper craft projects that use paper and recyclable materials. The book has been featured in Do It Yourself Magazine and in Martha Stewart radio.
In 2009 I was honored to be a guest crafter on Going Green with Yolanda Green a Houston TV show where I shared environmentally friendly projects.
I'm always open to answering questions or accept suggestions so feel free to get in touch.
